About the project
The Patient OS corporate website is a showcase for the services provided by the software development firm behind the open source Patient OS system.
PatientOS landing page.
I was contracted to design the PatientOS website, as well as deliver a set of flexible, ready to be populated XHTML/CSS templates. These templates were later implemented using PHP by Chris Bloom.
Details
The corporate site communicates the things a clinician should expect from an Electronic Medical Record and Health Information System: easy to use, fast, advanced features with simple interfaces, multilingual.
Medical color schema.
A reduced, medical color schema was developed. These colors are the very first steps towards the creation of the PatientOS brand identity. The type pair Helvetica/Arial guaranteed cross compatibility across multiple platforms and devices.
Targeting users.
A tabbed blurb section was designed, where each tab describes a service offered by the company. Two main users where identified, clinicians and developers, and each user its targeted properly in the design.
The website also stresses the benefits of the Open Source principle (free to use and distribute, access to source code) as well as the various service options that the company offers, such as hosted environments, custom development, product support and more.
