Nixon: The Newton

I’m not very fan of watches. In fact, last time I wore one was maybe 6 or 7 years ago. But when I saw this watch on my friend’s wrist, I immediately felt in love. Ladies and gentleman, let me introduce you to The Newton:

Colorful, affordable (about $100), relaxed, minimal, modern… this watch is just a mirror of my personality, and so then I couldn’t do anything but just run to a Billabong store and buy it (in green, because I didn’t know there was a yellow version until later!).

Soy diseñador. Tengo que dibujar una flechita que apunte a un botón en una página. El cliente, convencido, me dijo “esto te llevará 5 minutos”. No le creo, los años me han demostrado que me llevará mas tiempo. Pero también, es una flecha, no es rocket science, ¿qué puede salir mal? Working for Zendesk

Wow. I don’t even know how to start!

So, last week I decided to play with the new Twitter interface and see if I could improve it by making tweaks and basically, realigning everything. It was an experiment, my personal opinion on what I would like to see in the new Twitter.

After writing my findings, I hit “Publish” in my WordPress with no clues of the kind of responses I’d have (if any). I remember a funny conversation I had with a friend in a bar, telling him that I was about to post a new Twitter concept, hoping that they, or another company, contact me. My exact words were “I have nothing to lose”.
